How often do you check the hygiene ‘scores on the doors’ when you visit a restaurant?

Admittedly, if you’re a restauranteur, there’s a good chance you pay attention to food hygiene ratings (you live and breathe this stuff, after all), but diners are now being urged to do the same.

A recent study has unveiled that just 6% of diners actively check the food hygiene ratings of restaurants, while everyone else prioritises location, food, service and price while hunting down a table for the evening.
